You Oughta Be In Pictures #89: Basic Photo Editing

I have recently starting experimenting with photo editing. Right now I prefer using the Piknik website. Piknik is great because it allows you to use some editing features for free! Of course some of the nicer ones you'll have to pay a premium for.

The primary features I must have are red eye removal, color, exposure, contrast, colors and sharpening. However, my new favorites are the teeth whitening and weight reducer features! Check out the before and after pictures.

You can use PhotoScape for basic photo editing.

It aims to be easy for beginners, and once you get the hang of the interface, you'll have a lot of power at your fingertips. Some of the app's best features include support for batch editing, a photo splitter, an animated GIF creator, and a converter for RAW files.

The editor itself supports color adjustment, white balance edits, backlight correction, frames, filters, red-eye removal, blooming, and more.

Leonardo is a complete photo editing app for iOS devices and a great all-rounder, doing most common editing features pretty well and arguably in a more simple way than the heavy-hitters in this arena, such as Lightroom Mobile or Snapseed. The user interface is a bit button-heavy but only the most fussy users will find that to be a problem.
